Purpose
To provide a clear & structured pathway for new and existing team managers in Irish swimming and to increase the number of suitably qualified and up to date team managers. Any individual who is considering acting in the capacity of club team manager is recommended to attend this course.
Aim
v To provide the basic skills necessary to become and develop as a team manager at club level, with an overall aim of promoting an efficient, friendly and safe environment for swimmers.
v To provide a base for future development as a team manager at further levels.
Format
All candidates must have completed a 4 hour child protection and awareness course prior to the start of the team manager programme. The programme consists of one training day and
also requires candidates to have completed logbook entries, organised 2 club events (e.g. club gala or training trip abroad) and to have written 2 team manager reports – all within one year of the training day.

Entry Requirements
